CASME Poll Uncovers Risk Management Strategies
Black and white photo of chess pieces

Procurement’s role in managing risk has increased and matured substantially during the last five years. CASME members in Europe and the Americas joined an online Panel Discussion to explore some of the more compelling issues.

Topics included Procurement’s role in managing risk within the supply chain and the strategic priorities of risk management programmes, as well as the processes that organisations apply to prevent risk.

The audience contributed to the event by taking part in polls and submitting questions via the online chat facility. The poll results were an indicator of key trends; the majority of the participants are identifying risks by supply category, segmenting suppliers by risk level and creating risk mitigation plans. These processes are the basis of a robust risk management strategy which can be expanded to incorporate other procurement activities in future.

The key results of this online poll are captured in a Risk Management Benchmarking Report which is available to CASME members as part of their subscription. If you are interested in seeing a sample of this report please contact us.
